NEW MODELS

This page has our most recent additions to our line of fine hand crafted model ships and boats. All of these are made of solid hardwoods and have real fabric sails and cotton lines (ropes). Each of them would make an excellent gift for the sailor or nautical person on your list. Pirate Ship:   Item: RDS-71573


Our newest pirate ship model.  Hand made solid hardwoods and modeled after the small, fast corsair model pirate ships of the 16th and 17th centuries.  Our model has traditional pirate ship black sails with brass cannon on the main deck.  Ships such as these were used a lot by pirates and privateers of that era. They were fast and easily maneuverable and could out-run the big naval brigs if caught in a fight. An excellent must-have for every pirate and nautical decor.

Blue Hull Sailboat  Item: RDS-84592

 

This hand crafted solid hardwood sailboat is modeled after the famous Blue Nose sailing and racing yacht of the 1920's. 

 

This solid hardwood and softwood model has been hand constructed from fine materials with real cloth sails and cotton rigging lines.   Partially assembled

 

Ship is 24" Long from bowsprit to stern and is 19" tall from the top of the main mast to keel.

Dragger Fishing Trawler   Item: RDS-71568

 

The classic dragger fishing trawler. Complete with nylon rigging, dragging fish nets, winches and other commercial fishing gear. Ready to head out and make a living on the costal shelf.

 

Boats like this are the mainstay of the U.S. fishing industry.

 

This solid hardwood and softwood model has been hand constructed from fine materials.   It might even float with a little work on the hull.

Barkantine Sailing Ship   Item: RDS-84148

 

An excellent model of an Barkantine style three mast sailing ship. Model has the lines and cabin of the more modern sailing ships that have survived the centuries and serve on the high seas today as training ships and special cruise vessels.

 

Hand crafted from hardwood with good details. Outfitted with cotton sails with cotton rigging and metal small parts.  Good attention to detail makes this a nice low-priced gift model.  Measures 35" Long and 25" Tall.

Chinese Triangle Rigged Ship    Item: RDS-84151

 

This is our most interesting addition to the line. This vessel is modeled after the Chinese style sailing ships of the late 16th and into the 17th centuries. 

 

These hardy ships sailed mostly in the Pacific and were known to come as far west as the Americas.  A ship such as this was used in the 3rd movie, Pirates of the Caribbean. Measures: 25" long x 18" tall

This is our nicely detailed model sailing ship with Barq style rigging.
