the beacons of light that have
guided mariners to safe harbors for
as long as there have been ships at
sea. They have been a source of
safety and inspiration for many
hundreds of years in every part of
the globe. The lighthouse in our
banner above is at Sandy Hook New
Jersey and is the oldest operating
lighthouse in the United States. It
went into operation in 1764 and

entrance to the New York Harbor.
theme for August is for all of us
who love lighthouses no matter where

and safety and dispel darkness, but
they are also historic and graceful.
During this time of world-wide
trouble we all need the kind of hope
and safety that lighthouses
represent. Perhaps you might like
one of the many we have in our
online store to remind you of the
hope that we have in the future when
all of our lives will be guided back
to the safe harbor we have always
lived in before the beginning of
this pandemic year.
Now listen, it is
the middle of Summer, donít sit here
and look at your computer all day.
Get out in the hot weather. If you
have a boat, get out on the water.
If you have a favorite beach or a
cottage on the lake, go there and
enjoy the sun, water and family.
Only be safe and keep your distance
from strangers. Wear a face mask if
you have to, wash or sanitize your
hands often and keep yourself and
your family safe.
